Our Philosophy
We have a global plastic waste problem.
Out of the 8.3 billion tons of plastic produced since the 1950s only 9% have been recycled and another 12% incinerated. The rest has been dumped in landfills or in the natural environment.
The worldwide production of plastic is 380 million tons every year.
On current trends, by 2050 there could be more plastics in the world's waters than fishes, measured by weight.
It takes 450 years to nature to break down a plastic bottle into micro plastic pieces, finally going into animal or fishes’ stomachs. 80% of seabirds worldwide would have already ingested plastic pieces.
There are cleanup projects, great initiatives, possibilities to recycle plastic much more than we do now and invent the circular economy of tomorrow, to make ecosystems still sustainable, preserve nature and sea life.
Our entire planet is living. Nature, oceans, the animals and all the living beings that populate it represent millions of years of evolution. They must be saved just like us.
If we want to deliver resilient ecosystems to next generations, and still see the most beautiful scenes nature can offer every day we have to clear the plastic problem globally. There is only one ocean, one nature and no planet b.
Let’s get in touch and stay informed with us about the initiatives, the good news, every new project to clean up the planet from plastic.
We will keep you informed about the latest innovations, news, initiatives and projects about plastic waste clean-up and recycling. Actually, it's one of the most decisive topics for the next decade.
At plastic ethics, we think nothing is impossible.
We have hope in people, companies, associations to be driven with creativity, engineering, good will to tackle the assignment to clean up the planet from plastic and invent the circular economy of tomorrow.
One of the most decisive issues for the future of our planet.
Let’s keep in touch.
